Thinking about joining Chi Delta? We’d love to meet you! Recruitment is a chance to get to know the different sororities at Dartmouth and find the community that feels right for you. The process is mutual; you’re getting to know us just as much as we’re getting to know you.
How Recruitment Works
Dartmouth’s formal sorority recruitment takes place over several rounds. Each round gives you the opportunity to have conversations with our sisters and learn more about what makes Chi Delta special.

September 29 – October 1
Round 1: Meet XD!
The first round is your chance to meet all of the participating sororities at Dartmouth. You'll spend time at each house and get a feel for each community. At Chi Delta, you can expect to talk to multiple current members, as well as other PNMS. At the end of the round, you'll submit your preferences for the chapters you'd like to visit again.
October 5 – October 6
Round 2: Finding Your Fit
During the second round, you'll visit the chapters that invite you back. Conversations become more personal, giving you more time to learn about our sisterhood, traditions, values, and what it's actually like to be a member of Chi Delta. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and start thinking about where you feel most comfortable and connected.
October 9
Round 3: Preference
The final round is a more intimate opportunity to connect with the chapter(s) you are invited to visit. You'll learn more about what sisterhood means to our members and the experiences that make Chi Delta feel like home. After this round, you'll submit your final preferences.
October 10
Bid Day
The best day of the year! On Bid Day, you'll find out which chapter you've been invited to join. If you receive a bid to Chi Delta, we'll be waiting to welcome you home and celebrate with you!
Delta Love Letters
“For me, Chi Delt was the house where I immediately felt at home. It may sound cheesy, but Chi Delt is known as the “Sunshine House”. Even throughout my short rush conversations, everyone I spoke to was so unbelievably kind and radiant. Now, as a member of the house, I can full heartedly say the warmth and love I felt has only grown. I have made some of my best friends within the Chi Delt walls and am so thankful to be apart of such an amazing house!”

New Member Traditions
Sprout Dates
All new members are invited to attend Sprout Dates, where older sisters lead fun activities and spend time getting to know them. Dates can be as simple as grabbing coffee and going on a “Woccom” (Occom Pond Walk), or venturing off campus for ice cream at Mac’s Maple or a creative outing at Tip Top Pottery.
Bigs & Littles
Chi Delta keeps the beloved tradition of “Big Sisters,” welcoming each new member into her very own Chi Delta Family! From weekly family dinners to spontaneous adventures and weekend trips, Big/Little families are a special part of the Chi Delta experience, and many stay close long after their first year!

The first step is to register for Dartmouth’s formal sorority recruitment through the Inter-Sorority Council (ISC). Registration opens before recruitment begins, so be sure to complete your registration and all required steps by the deadlines listed by ISC.
